Review: C.E.T. Cat Treats

Based on an article regarding cat nutrition Chris received from my pet sitter, she made a delightful change in my diet to canned food. She was concerned though about my teeth and whether or not I might develop dental issues. As the article points out though, research suggests that there is no added risk of dental disease feeding canned food (whew!) and that in fact, dry foods may not help clean teeth as was commonly believed.

Still, to make sure all was well, Chris put me on a daily CET cat treat. Shaped like a tootsie roll, the treats make a great toy for the first 15 minutes. I even taught Norm to play fetch. The treats work like this. Enzymes encourage saliva production, creating a natural way to clean teeth. I don’t know anything about the biology, but they sure taste good. In fact, I get rather demanding if I don’t get my daily treat. Now, Chris is making me add this bit too, but since I don’t run the vacuum, I don’t really care. I do leave a bit of a mess when I’m done, which I consider minor considering the benefits. From the desk of Sophie, two paws way up!
