Changes in the Routine
Posted: January 13, 2010 – 3:45 pmSophie had lots to watch today as I got ready to take my car in for a tune up. It’s been running a little rough lately. I suppose it doesn’t help when it’s sitting outside in below zero weather.
Usually, my husband will do the minor work like an oil change or changing the air filter. With over a foot of snow on the ground, I am happy to pay for the service. Sophie picked up on the change of my routine, as she always does. Funny, how pets know when you’re doing something different.
She watched me as I rushed to get ready to drop off my car. She watched me through the window as I cleaned the snow and frost off the windshield. Despite the warmer temperatures, I kept wondering why I wasn’t taking my car to someplace like Houston auto repair or some other warm place.
Sophie was waiting patiently when I returned. My poor old car. It still creaked and rattled after I came home from picking it up. Maybe it’s time to move on. An Acura Integra sounds good.
