We’ve come a long way. No longer are our pets just the animals we let out at night. Today, they have spas and acupuncture, centers for water therapy, and dog parks. They sleep in our homes, our beds. We talk to them. We consider them a member of the family. Yes, pets have come a long way.
Fido Factor is a site that caters to this mentality. Fido Factor helps pet owners find dog-friendly places. The site is new, so listings are limited. They have a brilliant strategy for changing that. Add dog-friendly locations to their database, and the site will donate to the San Francisco SPCA. Definitely, a win-win situation.
Pets provide so many benefits such as companionship and even health benefits. It’s refreshing to see a site embrace these concepts. The site features pictures and a good library of helpful dog-related articles. Definitely worth a look. Two paws up!

Having a pet is a commitment. Not only is the commitment one of health, providing a good home and good food, but also of giving a pet a quality life. That means building a good relationship with your pet. Perhaps more so with dogs, it also means dog training
Too often pet owners may complain of their biting dog or the dog that just can’t be housebroken. They may be the scorn of the neighborhood with their barking dog. It’s too bad because that pet wants a good relationship with its owner. It’s up to the owner to provide it.
Many avenues are open to pet owners. Your veterinarian is a good place to start. Your local humane society will also be a good resource. Other training methods also exist. One such method involves teaching the owner as well as the pet with the best dog training video. To succeed, the owner needs to assert themselves in a manner that a dog is “hardwired” to understand.
Having a pet is a privilege. A responsible pet owner will take the time to build a relationship with his pet. Proper training is integral to the process.

Between naps, I did some surfing on the Internet to pass the day. It was snowing, the birds weren’t out nor the squirrels and what’s a cat to do? That’s when I stumbled upon another fun website for cats called, Catster.com. Here is my profile. Too cute to be sure! Invite other cats to be your friend. Give each other treats. Meet other cats of your same breed or circumstances. If that isn’t enough to keep you busy, then make sure and visit the vet blog to get the answers to all of your burning pet questions.
Okay, so it isn’t just for cats. There is a dog counterpart too called, aptly enough, Dogster. Happy surfing!

I’m all about a website that touts how great cats are. PetSide is just one of those sites, though it does mention dogs too. This site is like the WebMD for pets. There’s cute stuff like photos and videos, but it’s also a place you can store your pet’s medical history. Your cat not feeling well? Look at the condition finder section. What to treat your cat to a new bed or some cat furniture? Check out the deals section. The site even has its own blog. I loved the pictures of this blog entry on playtime. Check it out.
