Now that I’m freelance, I have to buy my pet supplies online rather than enjoy the employee discount I used to have. That’s when I stumbled upon Entirely Pets.
Sophie has a special diet consisting of Wellness cat foods and C.E.T. cat treats. Unfortunately, neither are available at the neighborhood pet store. Since we live so far from town, online sales were my only option. That’s when I found Entirely Pets through Amazon.
Amazon is fantastic anyway for purchasing, being THE model for how online sales should operate. Entirely Pets responded to my order the same day. The order was shipped the next day, and I received the shipping info.
To my delight, the order arrived two days early, something I don’t usually expect from UPS. Needless to say, I was delighted. With the included coupon for free shipping, I’ll definitely shop again with Entirely Pets. Highly recommended!

One of the issues that I discussed with Sophie’s vet was her tendency to go into an unoccupied room and cry. All she wanted was attention, yes, but why go where there are no people?
It usually happens after my husband gets home from work. During the day while I’m writing, Sophie is sound asleep. Naturally, my husband and I talk a bit at first. Sophie gets noticed, but I’ve missed the hubby too.
Dr. Bob suggested that I try a spray bottle when she uses inappropriate behavior as one way to deter her. I remember that we used a spray bottle on my last cat, Ruby (RIP), when she started clawing the furniture.
Ruby was a smart cat. She only was disciplined twice by the Disciplinarian. After that, I only had to shake it to get her to stop.
So, I thought I’d give it a try with Sophie. Earlier this week, she started up right after I fed her. WTF, I thought. C’mon on. I’ve been her all day. So, I squirted her.
Never will I squirt her again. Good-bye, Disciplinarian. I felt so guilty. Here she was, with unconditional trust in me and I let her have it.
Lesson learned: I’ll put up with her yowling and find other ways to distract her. I can’t really fault her for wanting attention.
As if we need a holiday, but in case you haven’t heard, April is National Pets Are Wonderful Month.
With all of the stress and worry our lives contain, it’s so nice to know that there is someone who will love you unconditionally. It’s only fitting that we should celebrate the pets that comfort us, make us laugh, and provide companionship.
Where would we be without pets? Who would greet us at the door when we came home? Who would make us get out there and walk? This month, do something special for the pet in your life. It can be something as simple as an extra walk or extra play time. Give back to them some of the joy they’ve given you.
